Church Notices for Sunday 11th October

Notices 11 October

It was wonderful to see the Church looking so fine for the Harvest Service last week. Margaret and the choir ensured that we were able to enjoy the harvest hymns, even though we couldn’t join in. Thanks to everyone who brought (and bought) produce and who decorated the church and thanks also to the children who took gifts to the altar on our behalf. We were able to send £90 from the collection plate to the Food Bank and I know several donations were made direct.

This Sunday’s service of Holy Communion at 11.00 am will be taken by Linda.

A reminder. We have resumed our traditional pattern of Sunday services: Holy Communion at 11.00 am on the first, second and third Sundays, Service of the Word at 11.00 am on the fourth, with Evensong at 6.00 pm. There will be a Team service on the fifth Sunday. The latest Government restrictions have not targeted acts of worship and so we are able to continue with our gradual return to something approaching normality. I am delighted to remind everyone that the choir has resumed singing on the first and third Sundays.

There is a short service of Morning Prayer at 9.00 am every Tuesday.

Full details of the online and virtual arrangements appear in the Benefice Bulletin and on our website:

Church Opening Times: The Church is open on the following days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from approximately 9.00am to 6.00pm; Saturday morning for cleaning only.
