Church Notices for Sunday 28th June 2020

Notices, 28 June

The latest edition of Joachim’s Benefice Bulletin has been forwarded separately. This contains all the details of the Zoom and recorded services for today. They also appear on our website:

Just a reminder that the website also contains information on the lockdown and many other topics. In addition, Sue continues to load (really good) hymns; if you have any requests please let us know and we will pass them on.

I am sure you will have seen that we will be allowed to resume services from 4 July. However, the prohibition of singing aside, we do not know what restrictions will be imposed and so it is impossible to provide any firm information on times, format etc etc at this stage. Meanwhile, the church is still open for private prayer every day from about 9.00am until about 6.00pm.

Linda continues to work hard to maintain and develop pastoral ministry for us all. She has been calling people on a regular basis, but if she hasn’t been in touch with you yet and you would like to speak with her, please feel free to call her on 01872 530265. Similarly, if you know anyone who might appreciate a call, please pass their details to Linda, having checked first that the person is happy to be contacted in this way.

Sadly the lockdown restrictions have not been eased sufficiently to enable the Johnny Cowling concert scheduled for 22 July to go ahead. We are hoping to be able to announce a new date for later in the year or early in 2021 but meanwhile we will be contacting everyone who has bought tickets so far to arrange refunds, if they would like them.

This week’s stars will be anyone who has bought a Johnny Cowling ticket who feels able to allow us to keep the money!

I hope you all remain safe in the week ahead.
