LADOCK CHURCH

Intercessions for Sunday, 2nd November 2025

Intercessions for November 2nd 2025.

Heavenly Father, we ask you to bless those faithful members of your church here today in Ladock Parish Church on All Saints Sunday.

We ask Lord, for you to bless those who are unable to be with us this morning.

May our church, build on the foundation of the saints, be faithful to the teachings of Jesus so that in all her life she may reveal his likeness.

We pray for Saint Ladoca this morning, especially being our patron saint.

Let our prayers be united with the praise of the blessed in heaven.

Lord in thy Mercy---------------Hear our prayer

We pray for the world that is so often deaf to the only teaching that can bring true Joy……… Grant to our generation the spirit that inspired the saints, that all may walk in the way of righteousness.

May we all try to follow in our Lords footsteps, loving our enemies, blessing those who curse us culminating in treating others as we would wish to be treated.

Calling on the rich inheritance in the saints and the immeasurable greatness of his power which is displayed by the resurrection, help us and guide us Lord as believers to a far deeper relationship and a life lived for his praise.

Lord in thy Mercy----------- Hear our prayer

Lord, have mercy on those who are in despair, persecuted for the sake of the Gospel. Bring relief in their distress and the assurance of your blessing for all who are steadfast in the faith.

Teach us also Lord to recognise the holiness of other people. …………….Give to us our families and friends grace to live as Jesus taught his disciples.

Lord in thy Mercy.. ….. Hear our prayer

Heavenly Father we pray for the clergy of our Benefice, pouring upon them your love as they attend to our parish churches and bring love and comfort to those in need.

We offer comfort to our retired clergy who on occasions take our services when they feel well enough for which we are most grateful.

Father, we thank you for the many gifts that we are given and today we ask you to bless our worship leaders as they on occasions lead us in sincere, meaningful worship here at Ladock Church.

Lord, we pray for King Charles and Queen Camilla and thank you for their historic meeting with Pope Leo. We also  thank you Lord for their visit to the Synagogue in Manchester most recently visiting the survivors and showing humility and compassion.

Lord in thy Mercy----------------Hear our prayer

Heavenly Father as much as we try to follow in your footsteps, at times we stray by the way side and ask your forgiveness and pray for you to guide us once more on the true road.

In our society, war and violent dominates the news daily and invades every part of our world. Drug crimes and greed permeate society.

We earnestly pray for peace and understanding between Nations and through each and everyone of us that we may hear your voice Lord to guide and comfort us and that our lives maybe changed to honour and love one another.

Heavenly Father, we ask you to have mercy on those who commit the hideous crimes against fellow men we read of daily. May you Lord,  have mercy upon their souls.

We cast our minds to the hurricane devastation of Jamaca and Cuba to help those in need and we pray for aid to those in extreme need. Lord, we ask that you be with them in their hour of need and that aid may be given to them.

Lord in thy Mercy---------Hear our prayer

In our own community Lord, we thank you for the wonderful work on the Church Bell appeal and to those who are now working diligently to enable our beloved bells to be reinstalled within their home here at Ladock.

We think upon all those making preparations for participating in our festival in December.

Today we remember all our farmers as they prepare for winter.

At the present time many struggle with the cost of living and we are ever alert to their needs.

We pray for the many within our Parish who are unwell at this time either in body, mind or spirit and pray Lord that you will be with them at this time.

Lord in thy Mercy----- hear our prayer

Lord, we pray for those that mourn. In our own parish we pray for Tim Howes at this very sad time.

Grant to the faithful departed a share in the inheritance of the saints.

This morning we pray for the soul of Julie Howes.

As we offer our prayers may the saints heavenly prayers avail for us as we continue our earthly pilgrimage….. bring us at Last to the same blessedness.

May all who have died in Faith rest in Peace and rise in Glory.

Merciful Father accept these prayers for the sake of your son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen
