Vanessa's Intercessions for Sunday 9th January 2022

The Epiphany Intercession Prayers

This Sunday let us remember the magic of the 3 Kings and their long journey  following the star to find the new born Christ child , bringing with them gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh.

We also celebrate the Feast of St.Ladoca who came to Cornwall with St. Piran and lived at Fentonladock.

Today we pray for our Bishops and the clergy of Ladock Parish. We pray for Joachim, Linda, Paul and Pat.We are all companions on a spiritual journey . As we travel together we pray that the World wide Church may always be ready to travel in your way and in your direction.

Light of the World

Shine in our darkness.

We pray for our Queen and the burdens of family upset that continue within the Royal family.

Give her our love and show her the strength that she is in our thoughts and prayers every day.

Light of the World

Shine in our darkness.

We pray for the nations as they live through Conflict and their  struggles with identity. We long for all people to acknowledge the truth and the living God.

Light of the World

Shine in our darkness

We pray for our families and friends and ask that they are kept safe and well. Give them love, respect and understanding even when they may not be following the right path in life and have lost their way not knowing which path to take.

Light of the World

Shine in our darkness.

Let us pray for anyone known to us who are sick and for anyone who needs our love at a difficult time in their lives family ,friends and strangers.

Today we pray for Loulou, Danty and Shanty in South Africa, Richard and Rosie, Ian and Barbara, Hilary, Dennis and Jonathon and my sister Bridget.

Light of the World

Shine in our darkness.

We pray for those who have come to the end of their earthly journey and for those who have died suddenly.

Let them rest in peace and rise in glory.

Light of the World

Shine in our darkness.

Merciful Father accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our saviour  Jesus Christ .

Amen
