Message from the Rector
Ow sos ger,
As we look at the vibrant community of St Erme, I am reminded of Jesus’ words: “Let the little children come to me.” Our children and young people are not just the future of our church; they are its heartbeat right now. They bring joy, energy, and a fresh perspective to our shared Christian faith. To help them thrive, we must invest in their spiritual journeys.
We are launching an exciting outreach initiative in the parish. This project will create a safe, fun, and faithful space for families to gather, question, and grow. To make this vision a reality, we need your hands, your hearts, and your time.
We are hoping to run a simple 'pop-up' cafe for families as they collect their children from school, Tuesday afternoons 3-4ish, termtime only. Starting from September.
Volunteering is a profound expression of our Christian calling. It is a way to put our faith into action and love our neighbours practically. You do not need to be an expert theologian to help. We are simply looking for relational, encouraging people who love God and care about the next generation. Whether you can lead games, facilitate discussions, or help behind the scenes with administration and refreshments, there is a vital place for you on this team.
Across the Upper Fal Parishes we are committed to safeguarding all who are potentially vulnerable including children and adults. Therefore all volunteers will be safely recruited according to the safeguarding and recruitment policy.
By stepping forward, you will help our young people discover the depth of God’s love. In return, you will likely find your own faith renewed by their energy and insights.
Please pray about how God might be calling you to serve. If you feel a nudge to join this new initiative, or if you simply want to learn more, please speak to or email to me. Let us work together to build a bright, faithful future for the families of St Erme.
Gras ha kres,
Caroline
