LADOCK CHURCH

Intercessions for Sunday 13th September 2026

As we bring our thoughts, needs, and desires to God, let us still our hearts and minds so that we will be able to hear the answers he has for us.

Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.

Gracious God, we pray for peace, justice and reconciliation throughout the world.  We bring before you our concerns about the decisions made for our own governance and ask for wisdom and integrity for those in positions of authority.  In a moment of silence please bring before God a country or situation on your heart this morning.
We pray for an end to the wars that are devastating our world and ask for your blessings on all who are working for peace.

Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.

Holy God, we pray for the renewal of your Church in faith, love and service. We pray for our Bishops, Archdeacon, Area Dean and all the clergy who serve in this diocese.   We pray that they will all be faithful servants of your word.  We thank you that we are free to meet together in fellowship today, and ask that you guide us in our ministry in this parish.

Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.

Loving God, we pray for our local community and for all people who live and work in our parish.  We pray for the young and for families.  We give thanks that children have now returned to school, and ask for them all to be eager to learn and to be considerate and kind students.  We pray for all who are alone and struggling, that they get the help and support they need.

Help us Lord to be aware of our neighbours and their needs.

Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.

Faithful God, we pray for the sick and the bereaved.  We pray for our NHS staff and all others who bring comfort, care and healing to them.  Give all who work in the NHS your love, strength and energy as they care for their patients.

We pray for the soul of Richard Clark and for his family. In a moment of silence please name before our Lord someone on your heart this morning.

We give thanks for human love and friendship.  We thank you especially for our families and our friends, and for the way they enrich our lives. We ask for your protection and guidance for them.

Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.

Gracious God, we have put before you our concerns and petitions.

We thank you for all the blessings and gifts you lavish on us. In the weeks ahead help us to keep the faith deeply and passionately.

Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
