Trinity 14 Intercessions, Sunday 6th September 2026
Almighty God, as we come together to worship and praise you, we ask you to hear our prayers for the church, the world, our local community and people in need.
Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Holy God, we pray for all Christian churches throughout the world as they meet to worship and praise you and enjoy fellowship with each other. We particularly pray for the safety of Christians who are persecuted because of their faith, and for organisations such as Open Doors as they support them.
We pray for the leaders of all Christian churches in Cornwall. Grant them wisdom and strength as they seek to lead their congregations.
We pray for your blessing on our parish of Ladock. Open doors for us to share your love with our community. May our church be a beacon of hope and a place of refuge for those in need.
Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Creator God, we pray for peace, justice and reconciliation throughout the world. We pray for the honouring of human rights and for the relief of all those oppressed by conflict, war and hunger. We pray for the leaders of all nations that they would make decisions that help all people.
We also pray for those affected by natural disasters, particularly thinking of people in Nepal and Tibet who have lost loved ones or their homes.
In a moment of silence, please pray for any country that you are concerned about today.

Faithful God, we thank you for the communities of which we are part and ask you to guide us to be more aware of our neighbours’ needs and ways in which we might help. We pray for the staff and pupils of our local schools as they start the new school year, and particularly for those who are starting at new schools, colleges and universities.
Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Loving God, we pray for all those who are unwell in body, mind or spirit. We pray for healing and comfort for those in need and patience and compassion for those who care for them.
In a moment of silence, please pray for one person that you know who needs God’s healing touch today.
Almighty God, we ask you to draw close to all of those mentioned so that they may be aware of your healing presence, and we ask you to provide your peace and comfort for them at this time.
Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Gracious God, we pray for those who have died either recently or at this time of year and for those who mourn. We ask for your comfort for those who mourn and eternal rest in your kingdom for those whose earthly life is over. We give thanks for those whose faith was a witness to us and for those whose faith was known only to you.
Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Everlasting God, may we be willing to make the sacrifices needed to serve you by helping those we meet during the coming week.
Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
